Rustamyah Military Academy is located 50km outside Baghdad. The American and British troops have developed a project to make this location the Officer’s Academy for the new Iraqi Army .It consists in building or renovating more than 100 buildings. Sigma is part of this project with Laguna International Construction and KBR since June 2004. Such project requires sometime the daily management and coordination of more than 1500 workers. The project has been extended in June 2005 to implement NATO offices.
NATO OFFICES – RUSTAMYAH MILITARY ACADEMY

Based on its successful work at Rustamyah Military Academy, Sigma signed a Master Service Agreement to build NATO offices inside the Academy within a period of 4 months. The project was completed within schedule.
7 Buildings renovation

Starting in September 2004, Sigma had to fully renovate 7 buildings in very poor conditions to make them fully operational for the new recruits of the Academy.
The work includes architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.
The work was performed within 5 months and completed in January 2005.
Waste and Water Distribution

Sigma was first involved in the renovation of the Water Tower and the Pump station at the Academy. Our performances on these 2 projects and the professionalism of our crews gave us the opportunity to bid and win the entire Waste and Water Distribution project for the entire Academy. Our work included the entire leveling, trenching on site but also the full installation of the different pipes and linking them to the entire network (the site size is about 450 acres). The job was performed in 3 months between May 15 and August 15, 2005.

The project included the complete replacement and updating of the mechanical systems for pool operation and the heating and ventilating systems. It also involved the replacement of almost every architectural surface. Sigma delivered a high-quality product and architectural treatments inside the pool were very successful.
